Abstract

The basic aim of this research project is the creation of a Nexus, where university teachers, researchers and educators will cooperate so as to create a Text Network which will facilitate educators and students of Secondary Education to explore the multiple aspects of identity and otherness, as they evolve through time. The Text network will be the outcome of a research process and the texts included will belong to a variety of genres (literary, journalistic, cultural, multimedia texts). The texts will be included in a database and uploaded in the website of the Laboratory of Modern Greek Philology as open learning content. The structure of the text network will promote inquiry-based learning and research methods. Educators cooperating in the Nexus will outline the education needs of their class and contribute to the shaping of the text network accordingly. They will also plan and implement teaching plans based on the texts of the network. The results will be published through a series of educator training meetings and a student conference.
